Dutch Door Press is a relatively young letterpress and design studio, founded in 2006 by two friends. Located in a victorian house in San Francisco, our studio houses our two antique printing presses- a Vandercook SP15 and a Chandler & Price 8 x 12 platen press. Our unique, boldly colored aesthetic blends a modern design sensibilty with vintage-inspired folk icons. This birthday card, like all of our greeting cards, was printed on Stonehenge White 250 gsm. We love the beautifully smooth surface of Stonehenge because it allows for a really nice impression and it accepts bright inks really well. In additon to greeting cards we also design & print limited edition prints, calendars, and a wide range of custom work including wedding invitations, birth announcements, business cards and more.
