Paper: Entrada Rag Bright White 290/300
"This is an image from a recent commission installed at the Swedish Orthopedic Institute in Seattle, Washington. A Journey Across Washington highlights 33 of my favorite images from around the State. It was shot on medium format color negative film and then drum scanned. The print is produced on Moab Entrada right white 290 and is 30 x 30 inches. I selected this paper because of the crisp neutral white base, the weight and the surface quality. It holds a deep rich black without going flat and gives my images a depth and punch I could not achieve through traditional color printing in the darkroom. I have gone back to film as a medium for creating my work. I enjoy both the distance it gives me in the creative process and the quality it provides for making large scale prints. I work primarily with a Hasselblad medium format camera because of it?s portability and quality.
