Blocks & Pads

Whether for their portability, unique sizes or cost effectiveness, blocks and pads have been a staple of artists for years. Legion Paper is proud to offer some of the world?s finest papers in both of these formats.

Pads are glued (or fastened) on one side, allowing the artist to easily tear out a page when completed.

Blocks are sealed on three or four sides, keeping the paper stretched when used. When the work is finished, the page is removed by sliding a knife around the edges.

Cartiere Magnani has been making fine art paper since 1404. In the 600+ years since, they have mastered the delicate balance between old world knowledge and craftsmanship and state of the art papermaking techniques. Their Acquerello watercolor papers ine of blocks and pads reflect this balance.

This natural white, 100% cotton mouldmade paper is ideal for all wet techniques including watercolor, gouache, ink and acrylics. Absent of acids and chlorine, this paper resists yellowing, provides excellent durability and allows maximum yield of colors applied.

Acquerello Italia is the Cold Pressed surface, and is more than simply a watercolor paper. It?s unique textured also makes it an excellent choice for all drawing applications.
